Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Ember22 LLC collects, why, and your choices. It covers account holders and people who scan an Experience.
What we collect

Camera. Scanning needs camera access to recognize the print and play the video. Camera images are used only on your device to match the print and are not stored by Ember22. Recordings are saved straight to your phone. We do not upload or keep them.
We do not collect face scans or biometric data. Ember22 recognizes the printed image itself so the video can line up with it. It does not identify people in photos or videos.
Who sees scan analytics
The owner of an Experience can see scan counts and scan analytics for their own Experiences. Ember22 also uses analytics across the Service to fix problems and improve the app.
Services we use
- Vercel: hosting and content storage
- Supabase: database and sign-in
- Resend: sending account and service emails
- ImprovMX: forwarding email sent to ember22.com addresses
- Stripe: payments, billing and sales tax
- Google Analytics: website traffic analytics
- Google Workspace: email and customer support
These providers only process data to provide their service to us.
What we never do
We do not sell your personal information. Experiences are not private: anyone who has the print, QR code or link can watch it. Don't upload anything you want kept secret.
Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep you logged in and analytics cookies from Google Analytics. You can block cookies in your browser or opt out of Google Analytics with Google's opt-out browser add-on.
How long we keep data
- Content stays as long as the Experience is live
- Deleted content is removed after 30 days
- Billing records are kept as long as tax and accounting law requires
- Closed accounts: personal data is deleted within 90 days, except what law requires us to keep
Children
Ember22 is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them. Teens 13 to 17 may use an account only with a parent or guardian. If you believe a child under 13 gave us information, email hello@ember22.com and we will delete it.
Your rights
You can download your data or delete your account yourself in the app or at ember22.com, or email hello@ember22.com. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails anytime with the link in each email.
Users outside the U.S.
Ember22 is based in the United States, and your data is stored and processed in the U.S. If you are in the EU, UK or another region with data protection laws, we process your data to provide the service you signed up for, for our legitimate interest in running and improving it, and with your consent for marketing emails and analytics cookies. You may access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, move your data, withdraw consent, and complain to your local data protection authority.
Security
We use encryption in transit and access controls. No system is 100% secure, and we will notify you of a breach affecting your data as the law requires.
